The team are doing a excellent job and wonderful work.
I have found that attending the day centre has proved to be an interesting and valuable experience.
I have enjoyed chatting to other people and I cannot fault the care I have had from the staff.
The support, advice and care to Lynne and myself was superb. My scores in the questionnaire cover your main questions-however the support to me was always collaborative and unobtrusive-but arrived quickly when I needed help. You helped us to give Lynne a family based end of life at home without pain-for this, you have my complete gratitude!
I had not felt ill or in any pain or discomfort until I became very short of breath on 12.8.15. By 18.9.15 I had a series of tests etc and told I had lung cancer, and would be given chemotherapy. I was still very optimistic but following week I was told it was stage 4 and incurable.
I was in shock and I was expecting my chemo to start immediately I heard nothing for 10 days until I received a call to visit Ty Owen. My lead Nurse Glenda was most understanding and made me aware of all the help and assistance I would be given once cancer starts to develop.
Thanks
All care men who phoned and visited were very kind and helpful.
My brother and myself decided to look after mun in her home.I live in Northampton shire and my brother burns over district nurses, he said it was about time, Macmillan nurses were brought in. This is the first time anyone mentioned it to us,mum has been ill and in princes of wales for months, we cannot understand why no one has approached us before. Mum is unaware she has cancer and our McMillan nurse is going along with us on this.
